Online Relationship Coaching
Online relationship coaching gives you one-on-one help with dating, your relationship, or your marriage, by video, from wherever you are. Core Growth Wellness coaches singles, couples, and married partners across the US, including long-distance couples who join from two different places. It starts with a free consultation.
Relationship coaching from anywhere in the US
Maybe there’s no one local you’d want to see. Maybe your schedule doesn’t leave room for a drive across town. Or maybe you and your partner don’t live in the same city. Online coaching removes those barriers. You meet from home, your office, or your car on a lunch break, at a time that fits your week.
Who online coaching helps
Singles
For singles who are tired of apps going nowhere, keep dating the same type of person, or are dating again after a long relationship. Coaching covers your profile and photos, early conversations and first dates, and the patterns behind who you choose. Online works especially well here, since most of dating starts on a screen anyway. You can go through your actual profile and messages together during a session.
Couples
For couples who are dating seriously, living together, or engaged. Common topics include moving in together, mismatched timelines for commitment, recurring arguments, and how to handle money when you’re not married. Premarital coaching helps engaged couples talk through the big topics before the wedding.
Married couples
For married couples who feel like roommates, keep having the same fight, are rebuilding trust after an affair, or are stretched thin by kids and careers. Online sessions can make coaching possible at all for parents. You can meet after the kids are asleep, with no babysitter to book.
Long-distance couples
Online coaching fits long-distance couples naturally. You each join from your own location on the same video call. There’s no need to wait for a visit to work on the relationship. When the two of you are in different states, coaching also avoids a licensing problem that online therapy.
How online sessions work
What you need: a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera; a stable internet connection; and a private space where you won’t be overheard. Headphones help, especially if others are home. Couples in the same home can share one screen. Couples in different places each join from their own device.
Time zones: When you book, check that the session time shows in your own time zone. Long-distance couples in different zones should pick a time that works for both, not just the earlier one.

Online coaching vs. online couples therapy
The short answer: coaching builds skills and focuses on the future. Therapy, provided by a licensed professional, can also diagnose and treat mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, or trauma.
There’s a practical difference online too. In the US, therapists are generally licensed state by state and usually need a license in the state where the client is located. For a couple living in two states, that can limit which therapists can see them together. Coaching doesn’t have that restriction.
Choose therapy instead if:
- Someone in the relationship feels afraid, threatened, or controlled. In that case, contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.
- Addiction, depression, anxiety, or trauma is driving the problems
- You need a diagnosis or want insurance to cover sessions
Working with one coach vs. a coaching platform
Large online platforms and apps have real advantages. They can often match you with someone quickly, offer many providers, and bundle features into a subscription. If speed and convenience matter most to you, a platform may suit you.
Working with one independent coach is different in a few ways:
- The same person every time. You don’t have to re-explain your history, and your coach remembers what you talked about last month.
- You choose who you work with. You can read about your coach’s training and approach before you book, rather than being assigned someone.
- One consistent approach. Your sessions build on each other instead of starting over whenever your provider changes.
- A real consultation first. You talk to the person you’d actually work with before paying for anything.
The tradeoff is availability. One coach has a limited schedule, so session times can fill up. If the fit isn’t right, there’s no one else in-house to switch to, which is exactly why the free consultation matters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Coaching is a conversation, and video handles that well for most people. What makes the biggest difference is the setup: a private space, a steady connection, and showing up consistently. Many clients find it easier to keep a weekly session when there's no commute.
Choose a room with a closed door, use headphones, and turn off notifications. If privacy at home is hard, many clients join from a parked car or a booked room at work.
Yes. You don't need to be in the same place. Each of you joins the same video call from your own device.
You can start by working on your side of the pattern. When one person changes how they respond, the dynamic between you often shifts. Ask about this in your free consultation.
